看来用ATI显卡的人还是不少的，像8500这样的经典显卡如果不能在X下运行3D游戏实在可惜了。
！！说明1：本文只适用于8500及以上显卡，ATI 官方并未提及对Radeon / 7000 / 7200/ 7500的支持。
！！说明2：RedHat9已经对ATI显卡有良好的2D支持，同时也一定程度的支持3D加速，如果你不属于（1、已经能够进入X但需要良好的3D加速，同时有足够的DIY精神；2、使用Redhat8及以下，缺省的X设置不能识别9100，9200之类的新标号；3、以上均不是，就是喜欢折腾）这几种情况，请不要轻易尝试更改X配置，虽然很简单，但是还是有一定的危险性，如果出现“安装了ATI驱动代码">程序后我进不了X”之类的问题，请自己解决。
！！说明3：无论如何先备份/etc/X11/XF86Config，除非你本来就进不了X
本文举例的配置是：操作系统高速下载站(绿色软件资源站)">系统：RH9；显卡：第三方9100；显示器：Philips 107P；P4－2G
另外一台机器：操作系统高速下载站(绿色软件资源站)">系统：RH9；显卡：第三方8500LE（Powered by ATI）；显示器：LG－L1510S；Athlon 1700＋同样可以安装并正常使用3D功能；

二、解压安装

这里会出来一大堆信息，不管它。
到此安装结束。
三、配置
运行它自己带的工具
